SLIPPING AWAY

After dropping 3 of 4 to the Crosscutters, the Spikes are now 5 games back from first place with 7 games left. They fell out of second place after the Keys won yesterday.

NO ORTIZ, NO BENJAMIN

Deniel Ortiz played his final game as a Spike on July 3 after a 10-2 home loss to the Crosscutters, while Samuel Benjamin finished his time with the Spikes the next day following a 6-2 road loss. Both players were major contributors this season and will be missed.
